WHO WE ARE
autopilotfeed is a live Twitch chat, recording and moderation service operated by Dylan Wech (New Zealand), running on autopilotfeed.com ("the service", "we"). This policy covers every part of the service: the chat/recording bot on Twitch and Kick, the public overlays and dashboards on autopilotfeed.com, the ban-appeals system at autopilotfeed.com/appeals, and the free template at autopilotfeed.com/free/. It does not cover third-party platforms (Twitch, Kick, Discord, GitHub), which have their own privacy policies.
Questions, access requests or deletions: autopilotfeed@jwsoat.com.
WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY
1 · Chat and stream events (Twitch, Kick)
While the bot is connected to a channel it records into a private database on our server:
- Chat messages — the text you type in a connected channel, your platform username and user id, timestamps, whether it was a bot command, and bits attached.
- Stream events — subscriptions (tier, months, gift status, resub message), gift bombs, cheers, and raids between channels.
- Emote usage — which emotes (Twitch, Kick, 7TV) appear in recorded messages, for the public chat-log overlays.
- Watchtime — presence in chat is sampled on an interval while a channel is live, and credited as approximate watchtime per viewer. Accuracy is limited to the polling interval.
- Moderation data — mod actions, user offences/infractions, banned-keyword matches, and channel custom commands/timers.
- Recordings — the bot records live streams (via OBS) and stores the video files ("VODs") on our server.
Why: this is the core function of the service — producing chat-log overlays, stream highlights and channel statistics for the channels we operate. Chat in these channels is public by design and the service exists to record and display it.
2 · Public overlays and dashboards
Recorded chat and channel statistics are shown on public pages (for example chat-log overlays used in streams). What appears there is content you typed in a public chat. Dashboard pages on autopilotfeed.com can expose channel commands, emote stats and moderation history.
3 · Dashboard accounts
Dashboard and moderator access uses Twitch OAuth login. We store your Twitch user id, login name and display name, an internal session record, and OAuth state tokens for the login flow itself. We never see your Twitch password. Permissions are managed through role grants in our own database.
4 · Ban appeals (autopilotfeed.com/appeals)
To file an appeal you sign in through the platform's official OAuth (Twitch, Kick, or Discord) so appeals can be tied to a real, verified account. We store your verified provider id and username, the text of your appeal, the status and any moderator notes, and — if a community vote is opened — votes cast in chat, which are counted by username. Public vote pages show tallies and percentages, not the vote list.
5 · Free template (autopilotfeed.com/free/)
If you request the free Income & Expenses template we store the email address you submit, the page source, a timestamp, and the IP address that submitted it. The template is emailed to you (via our email provider, Resend) and a permanent download link is included.
Your email address is also used for our own internal marketing only: occasional emails about autopilotfeed and Jwsoat Limited products and updates. Your address is never sold, rented, shared or passed to advertisers or any third party for their marketing. If you'd rather not receive these, email autopilotfeed@jwsoat.com (or reply to any email) and you'll be opted out.
If you buy Ledger Orbital, payment is processed by Stripe — card details never reach our server. We store the email you type at Stripe checkout, the Stripe session id, the amount and currency, and whether the payment completed. Both the request email and the Stripe email are kept and linked to the same purchase record. Purchase confirmation emails are sent through Resend.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
- We do not sell or rent personal data. Ever.
- Email is used to deliver something you asked for (the template, your purchase) and, for template requests, occasional updates about our own products. We never sell or share addresses, and we never send anyone else's marketing.
- We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers on autopilotfeed.com.
- We do not collect financial account details, government IDs, or anything about viewers beyond what is described above.
THIRD PARTIES
- Twitch / Kick / Discord / GitHub — the platforms the service connects to. Their handling of your account data is governed by their own policies.
- Stripe — payment processing for template purchases. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant; card data goes to Stripe, not to us.
- Resend — email delivery (your address, the subject and content of the specific email we send you).
- Linode (Akamai) — hosts our server; Cloudflare — DNS/CDN in front of autopilotfeed.com. Both process standard request data (IPs, TLS metadata) as part of operating the site.
WHERE DATA LIVES AND HOW LONG IT STAYS
Service data is stored on infrastructure we operate directly, in ordinary databases and media files. There is no third-party database service, no analytics and no advertising network.
Chat logs, events and watchtime are kept while the channels remain part of the service; recordings are kept while storage permits. Appeal records are kept while a ban is relevant to the community. Template request emails are kept until you ask us to delete them. We don't have a fixed retention clock on every record type — if you want something gone, ask (below) and it goes.
YOUR RIGHTS
You are in charge of your data. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (and similar laws elsewhere) you can ask to:
- See the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct anything wrong;
- Delete your chat history, appeal, or template request email — note that content already shown on public stream overlays or already-broadcast recordings can't be pulled back out of past broadcasts;
- Object to your channel being recorded (the bot can be removed from any channel on request).
Email autopilotfeed@jwsoat.com from the account in question (or the platform account it's linked to) and we'll action it. We aim to respond within a few days, not weeks.
SECURITY
Personal information is protected with standard safeguards: connections are encrypted, access to data is limited to the people who operate the service, and administrative access is restricted and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure, but we deliberately keep the infrastructure and the number of people with access small. If you notice a security issue, tell us at autopilotfeed@jwsoat.com and we'll fix it.
CHILDREN
Twitch and Kick require users to be 13+. The service records public chat in gaming communities and is not directed at children. If you believe a child's data has been recorded, contact us and we will remove it.
CHANGES
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes (new data collected, new third parties) will also be announced in the channels the service operates.
